It's both frustrating and saddending to read about the vandalism attack on one of the area's most important medieval churches.
It’s a disgrace that mindless vandals would damage such an important and treasured site in Hopton. A great deal of effort from the local community has gone into making St Margaret’s Ruined Church accessible following many years of being behind fences. To think that someone would actively seek to damage part of Hopton’s heritage is deeply disappointing. I’d encourage anyone with information on this act of vandalism to contact Norfolk Constabulary on 101 or you can contact Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
