Over the last month, it’s been notable how many constituents have contacted me about health-related issues in the constituency. This includes issues from Covid health passports, to problems registering for dental treatment. However, top of the casework list is access to face-to-face GP appointments.
I am sure, like me, everyone is extremely grateful to the NHS staff who have worked, and continue to work, so tirelessly to treat and support patients: their work throughout the pandemic has saved countless lives. Now that restrictions have eased across England, it is right that heath services adapt accordingly and work to facilitate more face-to-face care. Of course, challenges remain, as we continue to vaccinate younger people and offer booster jabs to priority groups.
I would be interested to hear about your recent experience of using the NHS. I’ve launched a new constituency wide Health Matters Survey where you can give me your views. It will only take few minutes to complete it online. You can also request a paper version by contacting my office on 01493 854550.
