Football just hasn't been the same without the spectators, so I was delighted to pop in and see the team at Great Yarmouth Football Club as they prepare to welcome fans back to the Welly. New government guidance means we will begin to see the return of spectator sports, where clubs can demonstrate they can comply with safety regulations and maintain social distancing. I was joined in the stands by Club Chairman Jack Jay, Vice Chairman Martyn Sinclair, First Team Manager Ron McCombe and Welfare Officer Eden Rudling. It's Eden who has put in a massive amount of work to get the club ready for the return of spectators making sure risk assessments are completed and all safety measures are in place. The Wellesley Recreation Ground has the advantage of plenty of room that will allow for safe social distancing. The management team took the opportunity to brief me on their future plans for the club and I wish them all well in the forthcoming season.
