Nominate Great Yarmouth's Responsible Business Champion

Is there a company within the Great Yarmouth constituency that you would like to suggest as our local 'Responsible Business Champion'? Maybe you are a business owner or employee that would like to see the company receive special recognition.

The scheme is run by a cross-party group of MPs who promote corporate responsibility in the community and workplace. They are on the lookout for local business champions, whether big or small; what matters is the way it operates. Is it, for example, supporting local schools, clubs, or charities; working to minimise its impact on the environment; offering great apprenticeships, or simply treating its staff and customers well?

As a Member of Parliament, I have the opportunity to nominate a company from the constituency and I would like to know who you would nominate and why? Our nominated Constituency Champion will be invited to the Responsible Business Champions reception to be held in Parliament this summer and they will be sent a certificate by the All-Party Parliamentary Corporate Responsibility Group celebrating their nomination. Every company nominated by an MP will also be considered for the National Responsible Business Champion Award 2022. The national winner is chosen by a judging panel of Parliamentarians. who will select the award winner by looking for a company which is:

  • engaging with stakeholders to support the local community, both during covid and/or in the post-covid recovery;
  • investing in healthy workplaces;
  • offering apprenticeships and training;
  • promoting diversity & inclusion in the workplace;
  • working to reduce their environmental impact; and
  • working with suppliers & SMEs to support responsible business practices.

Please include "Responsible Business Champion Nomination" in the subject line of the email. Nominations should be received by no later than 5 pm on Friday 13th May 2022.
