 The new NHS Test and Trace system is now up and running, and we are urging everyone with symptoms to now get tested to help us control the virus and save lives.

  • Because of the great sacrifices made by the British people, we have been able to reduce the number of new coronavirus cases to its lowest level in months – allowing us to ease social distancing measures and begin gradually re-opening society.
     
  • To help keep the number of new infections down so we can continue this progress, we are encouraging everyone with coronavirus symptoms to use the new NHS Test and Trace programme, which will ensure we can keep this virus under control so we can keep saving lives.
     
  • As we move to the next stage of our fight against coronavirus, this system will be vital to stopping the spread of the virus, and is how we will be able to protect our friends and family from infection, and protect our NHS.
