Constituents have contacted me about the effect of long-Covid on their everyday lives. Whilst long Covid symptoms are still poorly understood research to examine the possible causes is ongoing. Today MP's will discuss the issue in a Backbencher Debate. I will be following the response from Government Health ministers with interest.
A network of more than 80 specialist assessment service clinics to support patients suffering from 'long COVID' has been established to help those experiencing the debilitating effects of the virus months after being infected. There is a clinic in Norwich available for Great Yarmouth residents.
The clinics bring together doctors, nurses, therapists and other specialists to carry out assessments of those experiencing enduring symptoms. NHS England has provided £10m to fund these clinics, which will benefit people across the UK living with the condition.
