Great Yarmouth will receive over £20million in capital investment as part of the Town Deal schemes, and a gateway to even more funding through the Government’s exciting new levelling up fund.
This announcement, which came as part of the Chancellor’s Budget, means that projects worth a total £20.1 million will be brought forward helping to transform the town, and also provides the Borough with a pot of £150,000 to be used to create a strong bid for the “Levelling-Up Fund”.
This funding represents yet more Government investment for Great Yarmouth in addition to the £100 million to construct the Third River Crossing and further millions to regenerate the town centre.
I am delighted that another cash injection will be coming into our community. This funding of over £20million, will not only allow for crucial investment but will act as a catalyst for further investment opportunities. This is fantastic news for Great Yarmouth, it is yet another example of how this Conservative Government is making sure that we build up Great Yarmouth so that we are ready to take advantages of the new opportunities before us.
