The Education Secretary has announced plans to train 900 new children's social workers to support some of the most vulnerable children and families in our communities. Working alongside Frontline - a social work charity - the government will work to attract and train bright graduates and career changers, who aspire for a career as a social worker.
The scheme will fund 900 places on the Frontline children’s social work training programme up to 2021, with bursaries of up to £19,500. This makes it an attractive option for those considering a career change and retraining.
Children’s social care is only as good as the people who deliver it. Social workers are heroes of our society, working on the frontline to offer care and support to some of the most vulnerable children and families in the country.
