Anyone who has travelled by plane over the last two decades will know how much time can be spent getting through airport security. With the emergence of radicalised international terrorists in the early 2000’s, it was right for the Government to tighten security rules at our airports. Yes, there were delays getting to our flights, but we knew it was for the passengers safety.
As technology has advanced, the Government is changing the rules about the removal of liquids and large electrical items from hand luggage as we go through airport security. Over the next two years, new cutting-edge systems will be installed in all our airports providing improved surveillance for security staff. It means that we will no longer have to queue whilst we take items out of our bags, making travelling by air just a little bit easier than before.
