Along with other Norfolk MPs re-elected last week, I've joined demands that Greater Anglia provides answers to why their rail service continues to let down passengers in our county. Whilst I am delighted to see new carriages on the route between Great Yarmouth and Norwich, making the journey considerably more comfortable for customers, it is unacceptable that the service is so unreliable.
Despite raising this issue with the rail company on several occasions over the last year, we have seen no real improvement. It is appalling that passengers can't rely on the service for work or social commitments. I want to see improvements to the railway station in Great Yarmouth but if we want to see more people on the lines then the trains have got to be running effectively, efficiently and on time.
