Global interest in local enterprise zone

It’s great to read in today’s EDP that the new enterprise zone in Great Yarmouth is receiving worldwide interest, from countries as far away as China and Korea. After just a few months, we are already demonstrating that this area is important for the offshore engineering and servicing industries. It’s another step towards the extra businesses and jobs that we need to attract to Great Yarmouth.

Fleggburgh wind turbines refused

Brandon welcomes council vote

At a council planning meeting yesterday, councillors refused an application for two wind turbines in Fleggburgh. The controversial plan submitted by Amber Real Estates for land at the Poultry Farm in Mill Lane, was narrowly defeated by six votes to five. Sims Systems move to Great Yarmouth

I was delighted to open the new offices for Sims Systems following their move from smaller premises in Lowestoft. The company make navigational aids, standby power systems and explosion proof enclosures for the marine and offshore energy sectors. Brandon asks council to turn down Fleggburgh wind turbine plan

Many residents in the Fleggburgh area have contacted me about the planning application submitted by Amber Real Estates to erect two wind turbines at the Poultry Farm in Mill Lane.
