The Summer Bus Tour

All those years ago, Cliff Richard hopped on a London Routemaster bus and headed off to the continent for a “Summer Holiday.” Apologies to anyone under thirty who doesn’t understand my reference to a 1960’s film, which either has people humming along or putting their heads in their hands in despair. Once again, this summer I am hopping on a coach and undertaking my summer holiday tour of the more rural parts of the Great Yarmouth constituency. It’s a good opportunity for residents to pop along, jump on board and have a chat about the issues that concern them. You don’t need an appointment, just come along on the day. Although, we do recommend you come along at the beginning of the time slot to avoid disappointment. You can raise any issue you like – from something really local, like parking problems in your area, to something of international importance, such as what the Government is doing to help solve the crisis in Syria. No issue is too big, or too small.

The first “bus tour” day is this Wednesday 31st July, with the following timetable:
10.00 Winterton (Beach Car Park)
10.30 Hemsby (Water’s Lane, Car Park)
11.15 Martham (Kings Arms Pub)
12:00 Rollesby (Waterside)
12.30 Thurne (Lion Inn)
13:30 Ormesby (Planet Spice)
14:00 Filby (Clubroom)
14:30 Fleggburgh (Kings Arms Pub)

Then, there is another tour on Tuesday 20th August taking in the following areas:
10:00 Scratby (All Saints Parish Hall)
10:30 Caister (Tesco)
11:30 Bradwell (The Sun Inn)
12:15 St Olaves (The Bell Inn)
13:15 Belton and Burgh Castle (The Kings Head)
14:00 Hopton (The White Hart)
