Have managed to get back onto the bike this week and into the pool, as well as running. Am very happy with that.
I am on holiday with the family this week and we are in temp o about 105F and at almost 3000ft above sea level, so going out for my first run was an eye opener. Even early in the morning, it was so hot, I realised I had made a big mistake not having water with me, as a result managed just 2.5 miles that felt as hard as a normal 5 mile jog. The bike was not much better and having a hybrid to use here with limited breaking was …… interesting J
Managing a fair few lengths in the pool and healthy eating so fingers crossed will be in decent shape for my September events. Will update further this week as I get more training done as I settle into getting out earlier to avoid the searing heat.
