I have just come back from the annual Norfolk Food Festival in the House of Commons. This event, which is always a highlight of the year, is a showcase of some of the excellent food and drink produced in Norfolk.
As usual, the room was packed from start to finish with MPs and staff from around the UK queuing up to try goat’s cheese, crisps, sausages, beer and much more besides.
I was very pleased to get the opportunity to speak to a number of local producers and to hear their thoughts and concerns on their respective industries. It was also a real treat to taste some of the food on offer!
