The flip side of my little operation and hence not training at present is a tad more time to write this Blog.
My thought for today is that I have learnt an important lesson in the last few weeks. If you are injured, get some rest and treatment ASAP. My problem with my shoulder and my foot ending up needing an operation is totally self-inflicted. Mainly the issue was non rest and not getting it treated early and properly and just assuming if I carry on like nothing has happened then it will all get better and go away, it didn’t and now I am missing this Sunday’s race and have had an op and cannot train for 10 days to two weeks.
So if injured, get treatment. If you feel tired and struggling, take that odd day of rest. I have learnt…. for now anyway. 🙂
