Last Friday, I visited Greenacre Primary School, in order to meet with the new Head Teacher Bill Holledge. I discussed a number of issues; but focused on the challenges the school faced and ways to improve standards in the school.
I also had the opportunity to meet with a group of twenty pupils from Year Six. During this meeting I explained to the pupils what being a Member of Parliament was like. I also answered a number of questions ranging from how to help people to stop smoking to whether I could increase the length of school holidays!
It was a very worthwhile trip, I had a constructive meeting with Mr Holledge, and was impressed with group of students that I met. As a school, Greenacre is a very happy place and I am confident that Mr Holledge with his extensive experience will be able to help ensure that Greenacre develops and grows.
