Fresh from the Norfolk Food Festival in Westminster, I visited the Great Yarmouth Food Festival today. The stalls were offering a huge range of food and drink, from paella to waffles on a stick. I enjoyed chatting to constituents and stall owners about local produce, including Andrew Edmonds of Bradwell Butchery (pictured) who showed me how to make a pork pie. So inspired was I by this display, I bought a pork pie for lunch.
It was good to see such a high turnout at Great Yarmouth Food Festival. There were some great examples of local produce, showing local people and visitors what Great Yarmouth has to offer. It was tempting to try some of everything – I look forward to the festival returning next year.
